Here’s some information on our Keepsake Release Box.
We wanted to come up with a custom release box that was attractive yet sturdy enough so it could have a “life” after the release to hold cards, keepsakes and other memories of the special day.
We also wanted a box with certain features that would make it customer friendly. We included a “trap door” in the bottom of the box so loading the butterflies would be as fool proof as possible. Having the box all in one piece with a hinged lid and an optional attached ribbon would help alleviate any nervous fumbles of more than one thing to hold on to when the box is opened.
We wanted to give the butterflies a dark, calm environment until the time of the release. When the box is opened the butterflies will naturally fly out into the light.
Last but not least, we wanted to minimize costs and storage for the farmers. The boxes collapse down to 12 x 17½ inches so you can store them without taking up a lot of space. We made the box affordable so you can at least double your wholesale price and still be within a reasonable price range for your customer.
(Oh, one more thing, we also wanted to help the economy by only working with local companies in Michigan to manufacture this product.)

The box measures 8 ¼ x 10 ¾ x 3 ¾ inches.

This is the bottom of the box with the “trap door” closed.
This is the bottom of the box with the “trap door” open. You can easily slip the butterflies inside and not worry about any escaping. It will re-close after use.
To jazz the box up even more, you can add a ribbon.
This picture shows the bottom of the box and how a ribbon (not included) easily slips through the slots on the sides and can then be tied at the top. When the bow is untied, it will still stay attached to the box.
